But like many  sports games, paintball involves a lot of physical movement. If you want  to enjoy the game as much as possible, getting in shape is a great  idea.</p>
<p>Paintball involves running, hiding, jumping, hunkering down  and even crawling, among other types of activities. If you are  overweight or just aren&#8217;t used to a lot of exercise, it can be very hard  to outlast other players who can move much more quickly than you.  Putting in the effort it takes to lose weight and improve your physical  fitness will make a big difference in your level of enjoyment of the  game.</p>
<p>Exercising or training for paintball doesn&#8217;t have to be a  complex or overly demanding task. The best way to start is to begin  slowly and gradually work your way up to improved fitness. Starting out  with too much exercise too fast will lead to sore muscles and possibly  even injuries. Overdoing it can also ruin your motivation and the fun  you can actually have working out.</p>
<p>Almost any type of aerobic  exercise will help you burn calories, get in shape and lose weight.  Whether you decide to start walking or jogging, consider asking a friend  to join you. You&#8217;re much more likely to stick to your fitness routine  if you have a buddy who&#8217;s helping to hold you accountable, and  exercising will probably be more fun with someone else, too.</p>
<p>Since  paintball involves so many different types of movements and activities,  try to mix up your work out or fitness routine as much as possible. Try  doing sprints instead of just jogging. Leapfrog jumps, uphill sprints,  and stair and hill climbing are some other great exercises for  paintballers.</p>
<p>Whatever your routine, always stretch adequately to  warm up or cool down, and increase the intensity of your work outs as  your fitness level and your game improve.</p>
